Donk –The nick name for a customized 1971-76 Chevrolet Caprice or Impala PERIOD.

Some may use the name for other cars with big wheels. I guess we can let them slide with that.  I’ve lived in Miami all my life. For as long as I can remember; the parades and flea market parking lots were opportunities for donk owners to bring out their toys for all to see.   Although people across the US have caught on to the term, let’s be PERFECTLY CLEAR it originated in Miami. This past weekend, Donk Day 2019, a holiday created specifically to celebrate donk culture, was held on April 6th, 2019. It was commemorated with a Donk Super Show at the Wynwood Convention Center, powered by Midori Star Media Group.

Car lovers from all over the city turned out to see who would take home this year’s 1st place prize. Custom paint jobs, rims and engine kits were the talk of the day as everyone showed off the car’s they’ve worked so hard on. All of this car talk can cause one to work up quite the appetite so Fruity Dressed Conch, Granny Bees, &  the Mini doughnut food trucks kept us full and hydrated. If you missed this years show you missed a treat, but that’s what the Pretty Hustle Team is here for!  check out this year’s winner below!! Hope to see you next year! Huge shout out to Lateefah Parramore on coordinating a successful event and thank you again Midori Star Media Group for the invite!
