Beauty, business, networking, and powerful connections — Pretty Hustlaz was on the scene at Beauty Weekend, capturing the people and stories behind the beauty industry!
Beauty Weekend brought together beauty professionals, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and creatives for an experience centered on education, community, and business growth. As an official media partner, Pretty Hustlaz was there to capture the energy, spotlight the vendors, connect with industry professionals, and bring the experience to our audience beyond the event floor.
From our Pretty Hustle Link Up activation and opening networking mixer to vendor interviews, educational panels, and an exclusive conversation with Beauty Weekend founder Shanelle Salazar, this was more than an event recap. It was an opportunity to connect with the people building businesses, creating opportunities, and shaping the future of beauty.
The Pretty Hustle Link Up Meets Beauty Weekend
If there is one thing Pretty Hustlaz believes in, it is the power of being in the right room.
Our Pretty Hustle Link Up activation brought our signature spirit of connection and collaboration into the Beauty Weekend experience. Known for creating spaces where women can network, build relationships, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities, Pretty Hustlaz was excited to bring that same energy to a weekend celebrating the beauty industry.
The mission remains the same: connect people, create visibility, and encourage collaborations that extend beyond the event.
Because sometimes the most valuable thing you take away from an event isn’t what’s in your gift bag — it’s the person you meet, the conversation you have, or the opportunity that comes from simply showing up.
Opening Networking Mixer: Where the Connections Began
The Beauty Weekend experience kicked off with an opening networking mixer that gave attendees an opportunity to connect, introduce their brands, and begin building relationships.
For Pretty Hustlaz, this was the perfect opportunity to get to work. We connected with vendors, spoke with entrepreneurs, and began capturing the stories behind the businesses represented throughout the weekend.
Every brand has a story, and we wanted to hear them.
From learning more about the services and products these entrepreneurs offer to discovering the passion and purpose behind their businesses, our interviews helped bring the personalities behind the brands into focus.
Networking is powerful, but adding visibility to those connections makes the experience even more valuable. We were proud to help create content that could introduce these businesses to an even wider audience.
Day Two Opened With a Powerful Sound
Day two began with an unforgettable moment as the Dillard High School band opened the day’s festivities.
Their performance brought energy and excitement to the room, setting the tone for another day of programming, education, and community. It was also a reminder that events like Beauty Weekend can create space for talent and experiences that extend beyond beauty and business alone.
From the opening performance to the conversations and panels that followed, the day celebrated the many people and professions contributing to the beauty industry.
Barbers, Beauty Professionals & Conversations That Matter
Beauty Weekend continued with panels featuring barbers and beauty professionals, creating space for conversations around the industry and the people working within it.
The beauty and grooming industries are built on more than talent. They require skill, consistency, customer relationships, business knowledge, and the ability to evolve as the industry changes.
These panels provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with professionals, hear industry perspectives, and connect with conversations relevant to their own journeys.
At Pretty Hustlaz, we recognize the importance of putting professionals in front of audiences who want to learn, grow, and discover new opportunities. Whether someone is an established business owner or just beginning to explore their entrepreneurial journey, access to industry conversations can be an important part of the process.
LegalShield Brings Business Protection Into the Conversation
Another important part of the programming was a presentation from a LegalShield speaker, bringing attention to the legal side of entrepreneurship.
While branding, marketing, and attracting customers are often at the top of a business owner’s priority list, understanding legal resources and protecting a business are also important considerations.
For entrepreneurs building brands, expanding services, or entering new partnerships, knowing where to turn for legal guidance can be an important part of running a business with confidence.
The presentation added another dimension to the weekend’s conversations, reminding attendees that building a business involves more than what customers see. The foundation matters, too.
Behind the Brands: Pretty Hustlaz Interviews the Vendors
One of our major highlights was getting the opportunity to interview most of the vendors throughout the weekend.
We didn’t want to simply walk past the booths, capture a quick clip, and move on. We wanted to learn more about the people behind the brands — what they offer, what inspired them, and what they want the world to know about their businesses.
These conversations are at the heart of what Pretty Hustlaz does.
Vendor interviews help put a face to a brand and give entrepreneurs an opportunity to communicate their message in their own words. They also allow our audience to discover businesses they may not have encountered otherwise.
For the entrepreneurs who showed up ready to share their stories, we appreciate you taking the time to connect with us. Your work deserves visibility, and we’re excited to continue shining a light on the brands and professionals contributing to the beauty community.
An Exclusive Conversation With Founder Shanelle Salazar
A major highlight of our Beauty Weekend coverage was sitting down with founder Shanelle Salazar.
As the person behind Beauty Weekend, Shanelle was an important voice to include in our coverage. Speaking with the founder offered an opportunity to go beyond the event itself and connect with the vision behind the experience.
Events of this scale bring together many moving parts — from vendors and speakers to activations, networking opportunities, and educational programming. Behind the scenes is a vision for bringing people together and creating an experience that serves the community.
Our conversation with Shanelle was an opportunity to spotlight the person behind the event and share her perspective with the Pretty Hustlaz audience.
Because every great event has a story, and we believe the people who bring those experiences to life deserve to have their stories told.
More Than Media Coverage — We’re Building Connections
Our time at Beauty Weekend reinforced why Pretty Hustlaz continues to show up in spaces where entrepreneurs, creatives, and industry professionals gather.
As an official media partner, we understand that our role goes beyond capturing content. It is about helping brands gain visibility, introducing our audience to new businesses, and creating opportunities for conversations to continue long after an event ends.
From our Pretty Hustle Link Up activation to the opening mixer, the Dillard High School band performance, the barber and beauty panels, the LegalShield presentation, and our interviews with vendors and founder Shanelle Salazar, Beauty Weekend gave us plenty to celebrate.
And for us, the work doesn’t stop when the event wraps.
The content continues. The relationships continue. The opportunities to collaborate continue.
Until the Next Link Up…
