Yes, you read it correctly… Galentine’s Day is a real thing. It is celebrated on February 13, the day before Valentines Day. It’s a time to celebrate your Best of the BEST girlfriends. You leave the men at home— and kick it with your girls doing whatever it is you and the crew like to do. Its a time to show your girls that you appreciate them!
If this is your first time hearing about the holiday, not to worry! You still have time to plan a day of fun and get a gift for your Galentine. I’m not sure when the holiday became so “commercial” but Target literally has a whole section just for Galentine’s Day. The cards had very supportive messages on it, which made me want to look into the holiday even more. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is just one of those holidays we never knew we needed. How amazing is it to have a day simply dedicated to celebrating true friendship!

Its time to unwind! Meet up with your besties and enjoy a nice relaxing day at the spa. Refreshing cucumber water, facials, Swedish massages and the perfect mani/pedis.

Aesthetically pleasing foods, playful banter, and bottomless mimosas, cheers to forever! If you decide to stay in or go out make sure you have everything you need to keep the drinks and conversation flowing. Be sure the menu has items your group will actually eat.
Wine Tasting
Visit your local vineyard and indulge in locally sourced and imported vino. No vineyard close by? No worries, you can have your own wine tasting experience at home. BYOB of your favorite Wine and an appetizer or dessert to accompany it for tasty evening.
Game/Movie Night
Netflix and chill out with the girls. Pink pj’s, cute cocktails, and the latest binge-worthy series coupled with comfort food. Not really into uno? Head to your local craft store for paint and canvases, now everyone has a memento to take home afterwards.
Staycation
Vacation requires a tremendous amount of planning. Cut the stress in half and have a staycation. Pick a hotel that has all of the amenities you need to keep you and your girls busy. I recommend one with a breakfast buffet, spa, and rooftop pool is a WINNER. Picking a hotel close to where the nightlife is in full swing can also be an added bonus!
