On July 11th, the Orange Blossom Classic presents The Elevation Experience, a powerful day of purpose, empowerment, and legacy featuring some of the most impactful women in culture and business. And yes—it’s FREE.

The energy is rising, and the culture is calling. On Thursday, July 11th from 10 AM to 2 PM, all roads lead to The Elevation Experience, a dynamic, free community empowerment event presented by the Orange Blossom Classic (OBC). This annual celebration, known for spotlighting the excellence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), is bringing together a next-level lineup of Black women powerhouses who are shaping culture, business, entertainment, and education.

Hosted ahead of the big game between Florida A&M University (FAMU) and Howard University, happening August 30th at Hard Rock Stadium, The Elevation Experience is more than a warm-up—it’s a full-on movement.

The Women Behind the Moment:

Pretty Vee – TV personality, comedian, and beauty mogul, Pretty Vee is known for lighting up the screen on Wild ‘N Out and the internet with her bold humor and unapologetic style. But behind the laughs is a savvy businesswoman building a growing beauty empire and redefining what it means to be a multifaceted boss.

Ericka J – Beauty industry trailblazer and founder of Ericka J. Products, this beauty mogul has built a cult-favorite brand with her adhesive products and bold marketing moves. She’s the go-to for slayed wigs, entrepreneurial gems, and raw authenticity—and she’s proof that there’s power in the niche.

Yo-Yo – Hip hop icon, actress, and educator, Yo-Yo is living proof that you can use your voice—and your platform—to uplift generations. With her legendary music and her Yo-Yo School of Hip Hop, she’s empowering youth and women to stay smart, stay powerful, and stay real.

Ebony Austin – Serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and owner of Nouveau Bar & Grill, Ebony Austin brings vision, values, and Black excellence to the business table. With a heart for giving back and a mission to help others succeed, she’s teaching women how to scale, succeed, and shine.

Presented by the Orange Blossom Classic

The Orange Blossom Classic is more than just a football game—it’s a cultural institution. Founded in 1933, the OBC is one of the oldest HBCU classics in history and has been reimagined in recent years to serve not just as a sporting event, but a weekend-long celebration of Black excellence in business, education, sports, and entertainment.

Meet the Visionary: Kendra Bulluck-Major

At the heart of the modern-day Orange Blossom Classic is Kendra Bulluck-Major, the unstoppable Executive Director behind the event’s rebirth and continued success. With a passion for creating platforms that amplify Black culture and community, Kendra has transformed the OBC into one of the most highly anticipated events of the year—balancing legacy with innovation and making room for the next generation of leaders.

Her work has brought major corporate partnerships, elevated community programming, and created space for powerful conversations—like those that will happen at The Elevation Experience.

Why You Need to Be There

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a student, a creative, or just someone who loves to see Black women shine—The Elevation Experience is where inspiration meets action.
